So today is the first practice for golf, but since there is still snow on parts of the course we were goign to practice in the fields at the school.  Well we wake up this morning and it is snowing.  We have gotten more than an inch of snow that is more like sloush.  I was really looking forward to play golf, but this snow is very depressing.

Well this quarter i set up my classes so that i don't have any classes on Friday.  So i get a 4 day weekend.  It is going to be really nice to have so much time off.  We still have enough snow on the ground that the golf course has to stay closed.  So i have been pretty bored.  I have been praying like crazy for the snow to melt.  The highschool golf season starts within 2 weeks, so it would be nice if the snow melted.

speech

So i am taking a speech class at the college right now, and i had to give a memorized speech yesterday.  I did all right.   I hate talking infront of people, but some how i am able to handle my nerves a lot better than most of the other people in our class.  One girl almost passed out.  and two others couldnt' even finish.    Here is the poem that i did.

The stray dog tale

While walking down the street one day
A preacher saw some boys at play.
He saw a dog somewhere in the middle
Of a group of twelve, all in a huddle.
Concerned about the dog’s welfare,
The preacher decided to stop right there
And check things out, so he stopped and said,
“What’s going on, my little lads?”
“Well, sir,” one of the boys explained,
“This here dog’s just a neighborhood stray.
We all want to take him home.
Ain’t no use just lettin’ ‘im roam.
So we’ve decided he belongs to the guy
Who can tell the biggest whoppin’ lie.”
The minister was horrified,
Could hardly believe his ears or eyes.
So he began to preach to them
About the perils of such a sin.
He went on for ten minutes or more,
And then he said, “I’ll tell you for sure,
When I was your age, little guys,
I never, never told a lie.”
The boys just stood and looked at him
In silence for a long, long time.
The preacher thought, “They understood.
I know after this, that they’ll be good.”
Then one of them said, “The dog is yours.
You’ve told the biggest lie for sure.”

Well my parents are finally back.  For those of you who didn't know, they were in china, they had a good time.  It is nice to have them back to take care of my siblings.    I think i have all my Christmas shoping done, so that is nice.  I just have a week of relaxing now.  I hope every one has a good Christmas.
